Lignovancia started narrower than it is today.
In the beginning, we were drawn strongly to wood: the grain, the warmth, the way a small carved object could soften a desk or shelf. That focus gave the store a clear visual language—but it also taught us an important lesson.
A material is not a market.
From wood-first to object-first
As we tested products and watched what people actually responded to, our view widened. Some of the most compelling pieces were ceramic, glass, metal, stone, or mixed-material objects. Customers were not choosing a chemistry lesson. They were choosing a feeling, a shape, a gift, a moment of recognition.
So Lignovancia evolved from a narrow material-led idea into a broader curated store for home decor and gifts with personality.
What stayed the same
We still care about tactile materials. We still like quiet shapes and natural surfaces. We still believe a small object can change the feeling of a room.
What changed is that we stopped forcing every product into the same story.
What we learned
- A beautiful brand cannot compensate for a product people do not want.
- Good photography matters, but product accuracy matters more.
- Customers do not need every object to be handmade; they need the description to be honest.
- A store can have a point of view without pretending every product came from the same workshop.
- Discovery is part of the value: finding the object someone did not know to search for.
Where we are going
We are building Lignovancia as a small, evolving, independent store. We test, learn, remove what does not work, and go deeper when a product or category earns that attention.
The assortment will keep changing. The idea behind it is simple:
Objects with character. Presented honestly. Easy to live with.
